Candidate machines are stripped to a bare metal frame, and then remanufactured to "New" condition using all new parts and components. While our specialty is Jackson 6700's, we offer contract service to repair virtually any type of M of W machinery. KSA is a joint venture with Koppers Inc. and Lehigh Hanson, to produce and market concrete crossties, switch/turnout ties, retaining walls and grade crossings.
KSA prestressed mono-block concrete crossties are manufactured to conform to the requirements of AREMA Chapter 30. Tie designs are available for mainline, yard, secondary and transit applications. Ties can be manufactured with commercially available fastening systems and special inserts for restraining, guardrail and third rails. KSA concrete ties offer reduced maintenance costs, increased lateral stability and better gauge control.
KSA also offers the experience of more than 2,500 concrete turnouts installed worldwide. Each turnout is computer designed to ensure the closest tolerances possible. Available with any commercial fastening system, KSA switch ties provide trouble-free installation and reduced-maintenance costs.
